REALTORS® Association of Central Massachusetts
While the word “Volunteering” makes you think of something you give, our members have found that the opposite is true as they actually receive more than they give. Members receive the gift of knowledge and industry insight, the gift of friendships through the relationships they establish, the gift of pride and self-fulfillment from their efforts, and the gift of an enhanced professional reputation. The Association grows as a result of new member engagement. It’s a Win-Win for all!
The Committee Structure
Each committee has an appointed chair and vice-chair that help to organize the many programs and events offered to our members. Participation on our committees is open to all of our members and affiliate business partners although some committees have requirements.
The Committee Process
Each November, the Association hosts a Committee Volunteer Night where members can come and learn more about the individual committees including time commitment, meeting schedule and expectations. Members are asked to give their top 3 choices for committees and that list is then given to the incoming President who reviews the list of volunteers and matches with committee vacancies. We try our best to be sure that the member gets their top choice but sometimes there are no vacancies to be filled.
All committee positions are filled by January. However, we have opportunities throughout the year to get involved with our “Done in A Day” Projects so be sure to let us know if you are interested so that you do not have to wait to get involved.
Committees meet on a monthly basis and allow for members to attend by conference call.
Please review the following committee list to see which committee interests you the most. You will soon learn that the increased interaction with other members will provide you with new business opportunities you never expected.
